Shape:yellow green or pale yellow crystalline Affirmative crystal, hygroscopic, slightly soluble in water, 25 degrees of solubility is about 2.5%, also slightly soluble in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, hydrofluoric acid, soluble in dilute sulfuric acid and dilute nitric acid. The nature is more stable, and the transition to the oxide is slow to the melting point.
Hydrolysis: hydrolysis of acid, it can not be used in glass containers.
Solubility: 2.51 mL g/100
Preparation
Nickel fluoride can be prepared by the reaction between nickel chloride and fluorine gas at 350 degrees Celsius:
NiCl2+F2 - NiF2+Cl2
Use
Used as a fluorinating agent, in the synthesis of six xenon fluoride (XeF6) as a catalyst, Aluminum Alloy sealing agent.
